Vitamin A Deficiency and blindness

The case study of an adolscent with ASD, reported in an American journal, illustrates the nutritional dangers associated with chronic, restrictive eating.  The individual involved developed vitamin A deficiency ledaing to permanent visual loss despite receiving supplementation post-diagnosis.

Restrictive eating habits can cause nutritional deficiencies and should be addressed by a qualified practitioner.
