Food Intolerance Tests

Sarah Heath, a specialist Paediatric Allergy Dietitian at King's College Hospital, recently wrote in a professional magazine about the nutritional management of  Paediatric Food Allergy. Although I have always explained to clients that food intolerance tests are unreliable I'm glad to say that Sarah agrees.

She states that " Some commercial companies offer IgG blood tests as a way of diagnosing 'food intolerances' but there is as yet no convincing evidence that this test is valid and it should not be recommended."

Wise words......
