Benefit from Small Intake of Fish

Researchers at Harokopio University, Athens have established that as little as 150g of fish ( the equivalent of 1 large fillet ) a week can offer a benefit in terms of reduced risk of heart attack.

Even though this research suggests a benefit from relatively small intakes of fish, this shouldn’t discourage people from eating lots of fish on a weekly basis.  This research was only looking at one affect on a group of adults.

Increased fish consumption is highly likely to improve mental and physical health in all age groups and should be encouraged.
